Defeat Malnutrition Today recently wrote a blog post for the American Society on Aging, titled “Ideas for Fortifying the Federal Agenda for Older Adult Nutrition.” The author argues that more must be done through federal policy to address older adult malnutrition and food insecurity. Recommended changes include including our malnutrition composite measure in the Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting Program, reintroducing and passing the Medical Nutrition Therapy Act, providing increased and regular appropriations for older adult nutrition programs, and more.
