The NIH National Cancer Institute will host a virtual, 3-day workshop series beginning on July 26 focused on “Nutrition as Prevention for Improved Cancer Health Outcomes” for the “Pathway to Prevention Program.” Guided by questions such how nutritional interventions before cancer treatment prevent negative treatment outcomes and the evidence needed needed to make the business case for providing nutritional intervention services in outpatient cancer centers, speakers will assess the scientific evidence on how nutritional interventions affect cancer health outcomes. After the workshop, an independent panel will draft a report on evidence gaps and identify priorities for future research. We encourage you to register and attend if you’re available; recordings will also be made available on the Office of Disease Prevention website roughly 1 month after the workshop.
